Bean bags were hugely popular back in the 60s and 70s, and today they’re enjoying a resurgence in popularity. And it’s not surprising, because not only do beanbags look great, they’re also very versatile and affordable, and make a good alternative to conventional chairs.
One thing that’s appealing about beanbags is that no matter what your taste is like, or the size of your room, you’ll find one to suit. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes, from traditional ‘blob’ shaped bags to more structured beanbag chairs for children and adults alike. You can get a small sized beanbag that will seat a small person comfortably, or opt for a huge ‘sofa’-style bag that will seat multiple adults.
There’s also a huge range of beanbag covers to choose from. Whether you like the luxurious touch of a velvet cover, or prefer a more contemporary rubber-look surface, you’ll find what you’re looking for. This choice is especially good if your bean bag will need to be washed regularly, for example, if it’s used by children or pets (or just careless people).
Beanbag fillings are also available to buy separately, so if you should need to top the filling up at some point (as you may do if you use the bag a lot, and it starts to compress), you can refill it without having to buy a whole new beanbag.
When buying a beanbag, you’ll normally find them in furniture stores, but as with many things, there is usually a wider selection available online. Buying on the internet can save you some money too, since these retailers usually have lower overheads, and can pass the savings onto the customer. It’s worth spending some time seeing what’s available, and find the beanbag that’s just right for you. After all, you’ll hopefully be spending a lot of time relaxing on it, so you want it to be just right!
