Aromatherapy products are not new. They’ve been around for centuries. Many of the current aromatherapy cures have been passed down through families from generation to generation. And the use of aromatherapy extends to well before written history. Their recorded use goes back as far as the ancient civilizations of China, India, and many others. But what exactly is aromatherapy?
It is a way to treat illnesses and injuries through natural means using essential oils. The basis of aromatherapy is essential oils. Essential oils are volatile parts of aromatic plants extracted by some sort of process – usually steam distillation or expression. These oils have been used for centuries for uses such as massage, bath, candles, inhales, room and body perfume, hair shampoo, facial and skin care, and so on.
