Are Platform High Heels Dangerous?

Last week I fell off my shoes. That sounds really funny to write, I’m sure it’s even funnier to read, but it’s very true. The worst part is, they were flats. I simply wasn’t focused and tripped over the shoe that didn’t fit quite perfectly. Since most of my shoes are platform high heels, I wondered how anyone can call a shoe like a platform dangerous, when many women walk around in more dangerous shoes every day.
Thinking about how many women wear stiletto heels with no platform to balance out the walk, I cringe just a little. Perhaps they are more coordinated than me? Perhaps I’m just clumsy in general. Either way, I think it’s more complicated and dangerous to wear a straight stiletto than a platform heel.
