American Families Becoming Closet Survivalist

With the uncertain times we live in, many families are starting to become concerned about their future and starting to search out every survivalist blog they can find for information. I’d say more families are preparing this way than before Y2K. Before Y2K, people were confused as to what they should be doing. This time around, there’s a lot more information out there and families are learning how to stockpile food, secure their homes and plan for emergency evacuation should they have to. It’s not uncommon to see Soccer Mom’s buying survivalist type foods by the case and browsing the camping section for supplies. Even if the don’t camp! You’ll even see the family mini van setting in front of Army Surplus stores in numbers you never saw before Y2K.
