70s Memories

I was thinking today about how time really does seem to go faster as you get older. I’ve read that this happens because each year of your life is a smaller fraction of your overall life experience as you age. I don’t know if I totally believe that, but it feels about right.
My earliest memories are of the 1970′s and it seems like it was just a blink ago. The funny thing is that as I look back now, the goofy 70s hairstyles and 70s clothes didn’t seem as strange back then. I remember my mother talking about the paperboy’s long hair and yelling at my sister for dressing like a slob, but it didn’t phase me. Maybe its because I was a kid. A lot of stuff rolls goes right by you when you’re young without ever grabbing your attention. I wonder what I’ll think about in twenty years.
