7 Passenger Vehicles and the Car Pooling Trend

Posted by in Automotive

The concept of car pooling is quite easy to grasp. It is one where several families (which would ordinarily travel in different cars) make the decision to travel in one car, thus making considerable savings in fuel, carbon emissions and in the process also decongesting the roads.

Several groups of people have benefited greatly from this car pooling trend. Among the beneficiaries of the car pooling trend are the makers of 7 passenger vehicles. More and more carpoolers are opting to buy 7 passenger vehicles; leading to the impression that there may be something ideal about the use of 7 passenger vehicles in car pooling arrangements. The question that comes up at this point is as to what makes the 7 passenger vehicles ideal for car pooling.

And as it turns out, there are several reasons as to why carpoolers find the 7 passenger vehicles ideal:

1. The amount of space offered by 7 passenger vehicles: there are many carpoolers who find the limited space offered by ordinary 4-5 passenger vehicles to be utterly inadequate for their needs. For carpooling to work well, we need enough space to carry two or three families. A 7 passenger vehicle is often adequate for this, especially if what we are looking at are ordinary 2-3 person families. But a 4-5 passenger vehicle may be inadequate, hence the reason as to why many carpoolers often opt for the 7 seater vehicles.

2. The fuel efficiency offered by 7 passenger vehicles: it is remarkable that, notwithstanding the considerably higher (carrying) capacity with which they come, most of these 7 seater vehicles consume virtually the same amounts of fuel as smaller 4-5 seater vehicles. That is important to carpoolers, who are typically very money conscious folks.

3. The amount of power with which 7 passenger vehicles come: being bigger vehicles, typically equipped with bigger engines (than ordinary 4-5 passenger cars), the 7 passenger vehicles come with more engine power. That makes them capable of attaining better acceleration rates, better traction capabilities, better maximum speeds and so on. And that also makes them more attractive to carpoolers, who are typically folks keen on getting the best bang for their buck.
